Candy Count-downs...

At our house, our kids look forward to these every year. In fact, when I made the Advent calendar this year, they said, "but we're still going to do the candy count-downs, right?" LOL Basically, I use a long piece of plastic wrap, cut it in half lengthwise, and place the pieces of candy along it (each child chooses their favorite type of candy for this). Then I "roll" the plastic wrap around the candy like a long tube, tie small bits of ribbon in between each piece of candy, and attach a decorative top. They get to remove and enjoy one piece of candy per day up until Christmas!

Build-a-Bear cards for MOPS kids...

As the Moppet Coordinator for our church (basically the person in charge of childcare for our Mothers of Pre-Schoolers group), I made a bunch of these cards recently. I intend to send them to each of the kids on their birthdays. The bears slide in/out of the "sleeping bags". I totally copied this idea, but don't know who made them originally, or I'd give credit to them.

Rose magnets...

When I was at a Stampin' Up! convention about 6 years ago, one of the items I received was an adorable 3-D butterfly magnet made by Kelli Purky. I've wanted to make these ever since, but seem to never "get around to it". This year, I made some even though I didn't really have the time. I love them! I followed the directions found at Amy Celona's blog (http://ustamp4fun.com/ProjectGallery/PorcelainPaper.htm)

Test Tubes with Jelly Beans...

These I made for a gift exchange recently. I wanted to use larger test tubes, but they were more expensive (this was supposed to be a $1 swap), so I went with the smaller ones.

Purse with cards set

This is a project I made using the directions made and sold by Becky Roberts (http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/). This was a really fun project to make!

Advent Calendar - 2009

I've wanted to make one of these for a couple of years now, and finally made the time to put one together this year. I followed the directions posted on http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/advent_calendar/ for this.
